our story
we met in Rome pursuing a master of arts in Food Studies: Policies for Sustainable Production and Consumption, and bonded over a deep love of good food that feels good and brings people together. while hiking through olive trees in Tuscany (yes, it’s as glorious as it sounds), the idea of Dancing Greens Farm was born.
we have worked in food and agriculture around the world and are excited to create a space to grow food, partner with those we admire, and share good vibes and education, close to home.
and the name?
during our time in Italy, we joined a group of enthusiastic people for a foraging expedition in a rural part of Umbria. after a day of walking, learning, and gathering, we came together to feast on our delicious, foraged meal. someone forgot the forks, but no worries, there was live music and merriment so we ate the salad with our hands…while we danced. dancing while eating greens? always! and so, Dancing Greens stuck.
also, Farmer Jamie really loves ABBA (iykyk)
