Liz has always loved being around farms. growing up in Manhattan her fondest memories were picking apples in upstate New York and forging in Central Park. when she moved to California for college, Liz was often seen picking fruit in the orange grove between classes. she moved to Texas to start her “big girl job” as a project manager in the telecom industry and in her free time, volunteered at a neighborhood urban farm, where her passion for small-scale sustainable farming and organizing community events grew. last year, Liz embarked on a backpacking adventure across Australia and Asia, working on farms to pursue her passion for sustainable agriculture. holy shiitake what an adventure!! her favorite veggie to grow are artichokes and her all time favorite fruit are figs.
